Master your Canon digital SLR or mirrorless camera with this comprehensive and interactive full-day photography course. Learn the concepts and theories behind taking a great shot in our media school classroom, as well as putting your skills into practice on a short photo walk around Melbourne’s CBD.

This course is perfect for those new to photography or if you would like a more in-depth understanding of your Canon camera. We will help you understand the fundamentals of using your DSLR or mirrorless camera; including exposure, aperture and shutter speeds, ISO, focus controls, flash, RAW, composition and more.

 

Course Outline:

Part 1. Camera controls, focussing, understanding light

Part 2. Understanding aperture and lenses

Part 3. Shutter, fast and slow speeds/flash and low light photography

Part 4. Software and composition

Part 5. Photowalk around the city, putting theory into practise
