Macro photography is all about capturing detail and examining your subject from a close proximity. This workshop will introduce you to the specialised equipment and techniques required to capture the detail of the macro world. 

The workshop will cover the essentials of macro photography, including choosing the right equipment, depth-of-field and how it changes with macro lenses, metering, using flash—including ring flash and macro lights, as well as working with available light. There will be an experienced media school instructor offering advice, tips and suggestions to help you achieve great results.


Upon completion of this course, you will understand:

  • How the camera reads light and how to set the light meter in your camera
  • Using built-in flash
